When I test an autoresponder campaign, the email comes in but it appears as if some stuff is missing…

The most common reason we see this is the contact record you’re using as a test simply doesn’t have any data typed in that field.

See this screenshot inside a sample contact’s record (in the contact management area):

So, please ensure that whatever email address you’re testing with has data in all of the contact and custom fields before testing just to ensure that the merging is working properly.
